Playing around some more this morning with GVURL and realised I could zoom out on the map. I'm not sure why I didn't try this before, but suspect it was because I was always looking for micro data rather than the "big picture" macro view.

Anyway, I scrolled out a bit, then a bit more, and in no time I had scrolled out to the limits of the application. Whoa!  A complete map of SL, showing all the land masses and islands.

Very nice! It will be interesting to look at this again in a few months, to see how much it may have grown. The picture above does not really do it justice. Go to the site and look at it full-screen!
